Social Media policy - Acceptable use policy

IP UserGroup International has a number of social media outlets, on which we invite you to follow us. Most online communities have their own rules and guidelines, which we will always follow. We reserve the right to remove any contributions that break the rules or guidelines of the relevant community, or any of the following:

•   Be civil, tasteful and relevant.
•   Do not post messages that are unlawful, libellous, harassing, defamatory, abusive, threatening, harmful, obscene, profane, sexually oriented or racially offensive.
•   Do not swear.
•   Do not post content copied from elsewhere, for which you do not own the copyright.
•   Do not post the same message, or very similar messages, more than once (also called "spamming").
•   Do not publicise your, or anyone else's, personal information, such as contact details.•Do not advertise products or services.
•   Do not impersonate someone else.

Defamation - Please take care not to make defamatory statements. In law this means a statement that lowers the reputation of a person or organisation in the eyes of a reasonable person. IP UserGroup International reserves the right to suspend or cancel the Website or refuse access to it immediately and without notice in order to maintain, repair or update the Website or if it is necessary for legal reasons. However, the IP UserGroup International will where possible give notice of any suspension or cancellation on the Website.

Event Attendance Policy

IP UserGroup International do not guarantee the following at hosted or organised events:
•   Level of attendees
•   Capacity of seminar or conference facilities
•   Catering arrangements
•   Accommodation
•   Telecoms and internet connections
•   Table-top exhibition location
•   Seminar speaking schedule or audience

IP UserGroup International reserve the right to cancel or postpone IP-in-Action LIVE exhibitions, conferences and seminars without notice. However, all efforts will be made to provide adequate notice to exhibitors, speakers and delegates to avoid unnecessary disruption and expense.

Cancellation due to COVID related issues – Due to the COVID guidelines provided by regional and national government, events may have to be postponed, cancelled, reduced in capacity or re-located. This is beyond the IP UserGroup International’s control. In this case events will be re-scheduled or re-located whenever possible.

Cancellation by Participants - Participants who wish to cancel involvement in an IP-in-Action LIVE or other event must provide 30 days notice in writing. If this notice is not received 30 days prior to the event, the Refund/rescheduling provision below will not be offered.

Refunds – IP UserGroup International will not provide refunds to exhibitors under any circumstances in the event of: Event Cancellation, Postponement, Re-location or Re-scheduling.

Under these circumstances Exhibitors, Sponsors and Speakers will be:
•   offered an alternative IP UserGroup International event
•   offered alternative IP UserGroup International services to an equal value
•   offered a credit note which can be exchanged for IP UserGroup International products and services in the future (within 12 months)

IP UserGroup International do not take any responsibility or liability for losses incurred due to travel, accommodation or other expenses relating to cancelled, postponed, re-located or rescheduled events.

IP UserGroup Latinoamérica reserves the right to distribute delegate information to exhibitors, sponsors or speakers without their expressed permission, although permission will be sought.
